Now all we have to do is get rid of the ancient and Napoleonic players that voted, and Moderns might stand a chance in the second round
I did my part to give Day of the Rangers 14 votes.

I've added my vote, we are going to have to go some to beat Sharp Practice though!

Heh! I think we have a ways to go to outnumber the Ancients and the Empire, but we've done well just to make it into the final round as a modern game!
Thanks for all your support, guys!

I think it's also doing well considering it's a supplement competing against full rulesets.
I'm surprised a little by the results, though. I really expected Impetus to run away with it, considering how amazingly popular those rules are with the Ancients crowd, and I expected Field of Glory to do the same. In my mind, I'd always imagined Sharp Practice being a small niche game, even among Napoleonics guys, but obviously the game has a LOT of support. TFL must be proud!

Oh, I AM, trust me! It's a great list of games to keep company with!
TFL has a proven track-record and a great reputation for design.
Impetus is probably THE big game released last year, from a commercial standpoint and is supposed to be very fun and innovative.
Colonial Adventures is a 2HW game, so you know what that means: Fun!
Field of Glory is a huge, first tier game supported by a major corporation.
Day of the rangers is in very good company, indeed!
Most of all, though, I'm proud that enough of our customers have enjoyed one of our publications enough to put it in that company! Thanks for all your support guys! We literally couldn't do it without you!

And well deserved too!
Congrats!
BTW the Meeples & Miniatures Podcast is worth listening to, one from Shawn and one from Richard of TFL. I digressed a thread on the TFL yahoo group, comparing TFL design ideas to AA designs. If you like AA you may like TFL games and visa versa.
Both Shawn and Richards designs stress:
Simple, little or no charts and chaos.

Tom,
I know that _I_ like both "I Ain't Been Shot, Mum" and Ambush Alley!
I like the "card activation" system very much. I enjoy the uncertainty in the games.
I've been toying around with adding something like it into an AA game. However, since I've only played in or run a handful of games, I figure that I should play/run some more before tinkering too much.
