I might go for two TUSKs in 20mm, if and when I get any money.

I'd probably be interested in a 20mm version (maybe 2-3). Would this be a conversion kit, or a whole M1 model with the appropriate modifications?

hi chaps
thanks for the feedback
this would be a sellection of parts for converting diecast or plastic kits.
we are doing an a2 upgrade for the altaya m1a1 along with the tusk parts, so there will be 2 options, a2 and tusk or just tusk parts,
thanks
shaun

The Tusk or Tank Urban survival Kit was created to primarily provide the commander and loader a protected
Station to operate unbuttoned. The original Idea was that Due to noise and other situational awareness factors the TC and loader would be protected until they realised they where under fire and could then button up or drop lower . It would Further hinder the ability of a sniper to simply kill with one shot . The RWS and spotting rifle are in fact the add ons.

Shawn just to be clear the Modified GPK and Loaders protection Kit along with the DP smoke dis chargers added skirt armour and Inf Telephone where the original Kit. The RWS was an add on but thought to be an unnecessary expense and made the Tank height way to high.
The "spoting rifle " 50 cal is actually a fully functioning M2HB boresighted to the main gun . they can acquire and engage while using the Main gun sight and its magnification/thermals fully buttoned and it does not increase the height of the tank.
BTW in order to safely use the telephone the tank needs to have the Deep wading exhaust kit installed to direct the heat upwards other wise the Infantry can be severely burned.
The commanders hatch is a 4 position hatch, Fully open and locked down, 90 or strait up and locked ,45 degrees and partial overhead cover and locked and finally 15 degrees max overhead cover and locked.
but visual SA is decreased. The ballistic glass improves visual SA and if the glass is hit and stars thus providing a visual clue to being under fire as the Tanks crew in CVC couple with Tank and turret motor noise has little or no Aural SA...
