Just a few shots of some WIP i am currently tackling. Still tidying up to do, but figured i would show where i am at!
I am updating all the insurgent packs. This has been in the pipeline for a couple of months now to try and consolidate all the figures and mould setups. It has been great seeing some of the recent 20-28mm releases, which have inspired me for figures. There will now be a small arms pack (7 figures), Support weapons pack (7 figures), Commanders pack (3 figures) Heavy Weapons pack (5 figures) and Local Tribesmen pack (5 figures). The pics below show 2 of the WIP commanders with handheld radios/phones, new Spt weapon fella with AK and RPG and New Small arms pack fella. The kneeling guy with hand up will go in heavy weapon pack and will suit either the Mortar or PKM in prone position as he watches fall of shot.
The next few shots are of the Vietnam/Cold War Americans. M16, CAR, M79 and M60. I was originall planning to base them around a squad pack, but am now looking to break it down a bit more into an M16/M79 pack, M60 (2 standing, 1 prone), Pl HQ etc. I am also planning a M67 RR pack for straight TOE of the period.
When will all these guys be out? Well i am not the fatest producer of figs in the world as i balance work, family, learning to sculpt etc, but i would expect that these packs and quite a few more (not shown here) will start to roll out from the end of November, over xmas into the new year.
I did mention a few other packs namely SF snipers in Gilli suit 1 prone, 1 kneeling and one prone observer with monocular scope. There will also be an EOD pack of Mk9 EOD, Mine detector and EOD dog. another is a modern Helo Door/Ramp gun crew set of 3 x gunners and 3 x MG.
As always any questions, suggestions, please let me know.
regards
Mathew

Here are some more that will hopefully be out by Dec:
A couple more modern SF in baseball caps:
A few more Insurgents:
Sniper and spotter. Sniper in kneeling and prone position. Rifles are generic so suitable for any nationality really.
Modern Helo Door/Ramp Gunners & MGs:
EOD Pack:
Certainly not moderns, but a WWII Late War Brit ATG Crew:
Many irons in the fire, just got to finish a few now.
P.S: Work has also started on 15 Federation Modern Russians which will cover 80's and 90's to current.

Wow, you've got a lot going on. They look like they might have some good detail and a few poses that fill some gaps in the ranges.

A little further advanced over the last few weeks guys. Finally able to break down the Vietnam Era US Infantry into actual packs. Still quite a bit of trimming, cutting etc to do along with helmet covers, but hope to have this first batch done and away for moulding next week.
US Riflemen Pack 1
US Riflemen Pack 2
US Riflemen Pack 3
M60 Pack
I am looking to also do another M60 pack (1 kneeling team, 1 prone team), PL HQ Pack and M67 RR Pack.
Any comments and suggestions are welcome as i can still adjust these guys if needed.
regards
Mathew

Mathew,
A suggestion for the kneeling Pig gunner you have coming up. I have seen a picture in several places of a Marine fighting in Hue firing his Pig like a M-16 in a low kneeling crouch. Always though that would be a great sculpt. I will try to find the picture and post it up here for you to see what I am talking about. http://www.popasmoke.com/visions/showimage1.php?content=3874
This isnt the one I was talking about but the pose is close.

That kneeling gunner was the type i was looking at.
Nice shot of the 106mm. Different to the M67 though. I might have to get the 106 as well i think.

Pretty smart. I'll be after a platoon of your current Russian Federation troops when they're done, no-one really does proper ones in 20mm.

Got some initial casts back from the mould maker the other day.
Overall i think they turned out well. There is some tidying up of mould lines etc to do and some small adjustments, but i thought i would show where i am at and what will be coming out in the first few months of 2011!
First up are some early initial casts for the Modern USA Range coming out in the next few months:
Reworked pack of Insurgents with small arms
reworked pack of insurgents with support weapons
A new pack addition of Insurgent leaders/Dickers 2 with handheld comms devices
New EOD Pack
generic snipers with observer. All in Gili suits:
and first packs of my new range of USA Infantry for Vietnam Era:
Bipod still to go on M60's
Tied down to 2 things now, that is mould maker availability and funds to get the moulds made! The mould maker is back on deck on 3 January so pending some more castings i hope to have at least 2 moulds done in the following couple of weeks and will roll out another mould every couple of weeks after that. I have a number of other packs to also release (not shown), not to mention Modern Federation Russians which masters for should be ready as well in the next few weeks! For me, from Mid January will be working on Vietnam Australians.
As always questions, comments, suggestions are welcome.
regards
Mathew
