So I have the new Bush War's suplement and did a search on the whole pdf looking for what "Callous" attribute does. One point it links this attribute to casualties, but in what way? Do they disregarde dependents? Do they use "Caveman CaseVac" rule? Thanks for your help, just finalizing stuff for this weekends convention, running a couple games.

Thanks
Chris

That's a rather rare attribute and prob in one of the supplements I don't have yet , IIR it has to do with some non free worlds armies willingness to ignore enemy or friendly units in the pos LOF when engaging enemy units.
Western or free world units will suffer penalties (neg Morale, Loss of VPs) if they cause civilian or friendly casualties when engaging enemy units . Units with the callous attribute will not.

Shoot, I thought we'd included the write up on the Callous attribute in the book - sorry about that!!

We have it in our errata sheet, found here: http://ambushalleygames.com/images/pdfs ... _25jun.pdf

For the sake of convenience, here's the text:

Quote:
Callous
A unit with this attribute is callous towards its own casualties. Casualties are left where they fall, perhaps to be dragged to safety or burial later. Such units are not subject to the rules in the Casualties section and need not make First Aid Checks for casualties. Their casualties are simply removed from the table. Callous units are not subject to the Casualty Penalty. This attribute is common among insurgent groups or fanatical militia groups.

Thanks for the reply.

So if casualties are removed from the table how do you capture enemy troops? The way I understand the method of capturing troops is to cause casualites to the whole unit and then move into contact with the unit before they roll for First Aid.

You can also capture figures by Close Assaulting them.
