Hey all,
Got the rule at Christmas and am ready to start playing. I'm wanting to base my fire teams together on a single base (have figs based already and don't want to muck about much) but need some advice on how to best do this. Say I'm basing 15mm Americans and my fire team calls for 5 figs, 3 rifles, 1 SAW, and 1 grenadier. Do I need to base these 5 figs or can I get away with a representation of only 3. I ask as I have a bunch of figs based for Modern Crossfire and would like to use those bases instead of rebasing. Also am I correct in thinking rpg's need to be based separately?
Thanks for any suggestions.

I would try and base it to match the fire team just to make it less confusing but there is no game reason to do so as long as you mark the number of casualties somehow. You can also use 2 bases to represent a team if you currently have bases with fewer figures on it.

As long as you clearly define what each base is you do not have to rebase. Let me give you an example
US Vietnam Platoon
Plt Hqs 2 fig
1.2.3 squad 3 fig per stand or base
weapons squad 2 base @ 3 fig and M60

or alternatively you may have 2 3 fig bases per squad representing the 2 5 man fire teams...
FOF is base and scale nuetral.....Mikey
