Yes, Jim R will be running playtests in the Chicagoland area In fact, Shawn and I are working on some cool things miniatures-wise to include in the book. Stay tuned

I really like the idea designing aliens that are very different in how they react to regular human forces. A hive mind for example would be high confidence if a hive "node" was present on the battlefield, but would revert to low confidence if its killed, and other interesting tweaks..
Cool stuff!

For my tuppence worth: not so interested in seeing more of the Tomorrowverse. Our group is definitely interested in a generic toolkit to design our own troop types to suit homebrew background and figure collections. The upcoming book sounds brilliant.

Definitely want more.
3 universes I like very much are: - the Posleen wars from Ringo - Starship Troopers from Heinlein - Forever War from Haldeman.
If these supplement add more depth to how aliens should be played out using the TM rules, then YES, better now than later.

We're working on it! Seriously though, we ARE hard at work on it and we're in the final stages of playtesting, editing, and etc. You should be seeing it early next year, but we're still waiting on a few things like artwork that are beyond our control so I still recommend patience.

I don't have much choice but to be patient, since I'm under a no-new-books-till-employed embargo.
Still really looking forward to this, though!

It would be really useful for my group to have an EPUB version of the rules, more than a PDF one. It would be much easier to transport and use for quick rule reference. Have you considered it for 2013? If it is not possible, the companion book will make a great addition to my collection anyway .
