I downloaded the official sheet by Combat Wombat and quickly realized that I really wanted something that gave me the pure basics. You know, how to measure movement, how to determine if someone was in cover, etc. Being a complete rookie to the game, I wanted something to work ALONG SIDE the "official" one...

So I crafted this.

Im not a graphics designer, but I tried to make the layout make sense and work as best I could. I ran out of things to put on page 2, but a) you can hand write things in, or b) post here for suggestions and I will see what I can add. I havent played a game yet, and havent tackled any more "advanced" options like ECM, artillery or vehicles, because a lot of that is on the existing reference sheet.

Comment and criticize away!

[EDIT: v1.11 - 1/25/12] I added the Armor bonus given by Tech Levels higher than the firing weapon, clarified Defense basic dice, and added the -1 Reaction check by units moving at Rapid Pace.

very useful.

I think you should add on the FIREPOWER you get +1 die if your target rapid moved.

Nice! I will probably be borrowing from this when I get started on mine as well.

Mrrrr.....my bad. I copied the chart on page 62. Sigh...there it is, page 47, last paragraph under "Rapid Movement".

OK, I'll add it and repost this tomorrow. Thanks for catching this!

Cool! Was it useful! Im hoping other people catch mistakes or other things to change (I found one typo on it) because I want to get all things out of the way before reprinting and uploading today.

I've got my first game tonight so I'm printing this now. Thanks for the great effort.

Nice. This is almost exactly the same as one I made. Linking the page numbers is always useful.

Much as I like the TW system, I find the rulebook a bit hard to use esp when showing new people stuff.

Having something like this at the start of the book would be handy - or indeed at the start of each section as a kinda summary of the chapter. I.e. from "Infantry Combat" chapter you could fit all the key info (which are scattered throughout the chapter in dark green boxes) onto 2 pages (complete with page references in the boxes) as a kinda 'the least you need to know'. You could then go digging through the chapter for clarification if needed.

Much as I like my shiny Osprey rulebook, it is a little unintuitive at times. After all, it is complex ruleset - 250 odd pages of rules, as opposed to the usual 25 pages of rules and 225 pages of photos and fluff.

A big thank you for preparing this, i've just received my copy through the post today and whilst I've only glanced through it, I carn't fault the graphics presentation and writing, everything you would from Osprey the one glaring error is a lack of concise playsheet.

If anybody at Osprey reads this, brilliant job as a book, however it needs to be laid out more like a set of rules. Get a very strong feeling you are wading through pages and pages trying to find mechanisms. A simple playsheet or downloadable PDF like this will resolve this issue.

Overall though TW looks very good, thanks again for providing the sheet.

Cheers, Jon
