Hey,
I wasn't sure where to put this topic, but I wanted to know if any TO&Es for the US (or anyone for that matter) are using the FN SCARH battle rifle?
Are US Rangers using it now as their primary weapon?
Thanks!

Yes I have seen with my own eyes high speed guys carrying the SCAR-H. Usually with a few extra sighting devices on them.
As one Green Beret told me, "I like being able to out range them."

LOL...thanks for the reply!
I'm asking because a certain, prominent, 20mm figure manufacture is considering making up a batch of SCAR armed figures if enough info is provided!!
I did a search on the SCAR earlier and found a couple of threads, but I thought they were from last year or earlier...just wanted recent info on it, and as much as I can get.
Do you know if the whole team/squad would be armed with the SCAR and the SCAR/UGL variant?
Thanks again...for your help AND your service!

I thought the SCARs had been withdrawn from service?
I have the Elhiem Scar-H that Matt mastered, think he is doing some SF types with it.

The rumors of their demise were greatly exaggerated, apparently.

SCAR-L (Mk 16 Mod 0) has apparently been canned, but to focus on the SCAR-H (Mk 17 Mod 0). There's also a so-called Sniper Support Rifle based on the SCAR-H, designated the Mk 20 Mod 0.

The A-Team that I met a few weeks ago were all carrying the SCAR. I would note however that everyone had attached devices also such as scopes and ACOG's and aimpoints and such. Not to mention the under slung 203.

Matt posted a request for information about units/teams that used them in response to a post I made on the Elhiem forum....in my post I referenced a US Ranger carrying one with a UGL...
Thanks guys, hope to see a pack of them in production!
If you get a chance, please post to Matt's Elhiem figures forum:
This is a link to the post I was referring to:

Here is a link to his forum, although most of you are probably already frequent visitors:

Thanks again!

Cool! Maybe I can get Keith @ Empress Miniatures to add him to his "to do" list.
