Night Raiders

12km East of Bandar y Khomeini, Iran, April 1997


GAME LENGTH: 8 Turns

TABLE SIZE: 4íx3í (North is the Top end of the map with the elevation)

Initiative
US player has initiative Turn 1, test on subsequent turns.

Special Conditions
Game takes place at night, both sides have NVG. Labled BMD is shut down for the night when game starts, one figure must be designated as the driver, he must spend an turn entering the vehicle and powering up, rolling a successful TQ roll to start the vehicle.

Fog of War
All Fog of War cards are triggered by reaction tests

US MISSION
The Soviet invasion of Iran has finally reached the Gulf Oil ports and has threatened the oil supplies of NATOís worldwide war effort. The United States Central Command has intervened against the Soviet Airborne troops in and around the Iranian Gulf oil ports. In this fight, elements of the US Armyís 82nd Airborne and 1-75th Ranger Battalion take on a strung out platoon from the Soviet 104th Guards Airborne division. The task tonight is to retake an isolated pumping station from said platoon as intact as possible.

VICTORY POINTS
Be in sole possession of the Pumping Station by game end, all other results are a defeat for the US force.

US FORCES
US Forces are Veteran troop quality, with good morale and confident, except for the Rangers, who are highly confident.

The Ranger Platoon starts anywhere on the elevation on the North end of the map. The other two platoons enter from the West.

Occasional Pasdaran raid. Your platoon has been pulled out of the line and
placed as security for this isolated pump station. You are here to hold said
pump station and provide flank security for the Regiment. Stay alert, Redey
patrols have reported American landings at Khormansharr.

ViCTORY POINTS
Have sole possession of the pump station. All else is a defeat.

2 Squads and the Junior Lt are asleep in the buildings as labled. The third squad is deployed as per the map listed. 1 Pvt in the section with the Lt is awake at the radio and once the shooting starts, he may call for aid using the radio and a TQ roll. If successful, the Soviet player may draw a Asset Card, no air support or tanks are allowed. Maximum of 2 cards per game. All assets enter on the road from the east edge if they are on table assets.
