MW3. MW2 is still my favorite, and I was so totally unimpressed with BF:BC2 that I have no desire to waste money on that until I get a chance to play it a bit some other way.

Both. Not like they're coming out at the same time. Don't see why one can't enjoy both games. Although I will only be buying MW3 for the SP campaign. MW MP really is just for kids with ADD in my opinion.

Sorry, but you cannot judge BF3 from playing BC2. They may both have been labelled "Battlefield", but the "Bad Company" games are merely a stripped down, consolized, arcadey version of what true Battlefield games are.

I enjoy the MW MP, but I tend to look at Halo like you describe MW. I guess that is the price you pay to have people to play with. MW2 is a year old now, and still going strong online (even with Black Ops).

I am willing to give it a try, but everyone raved about BC2 and how great it was.. I was just totally unimpressed. I did not realize there was a difference.

Omar, wow, I had the exact opposite reaction

When I first played MW2 I despaired at the spawning, the ott run and gun, camping in corners, ott weapons to call in and just repetitive dull MP games.

When I first played BC2 I couldnt get over how much better a game it was. Tactics in MP???, advancing through the maps, taking or holding terrain, vehicles to use including fly in???, weapons that couldn't be ott blinged? destructive scenery that allowed for tactical movement, MP player maps that are huge compared to MW. Even the graphics are better.

I still cannot understand why anyone would prefer MW2, still I suppose thats humanity for you-diverse.

With the "subscription" service for MW, it's BF for me.

Not saying MW2 doesnt have its problems. As my (now) ex can attest, there were times when I would do little more than turn it on and start yelling at the "bullshit [campers/noob tubers/commando pro/etc]", and turn it right back off.

Problem is, when I got on BC2... there was no one to play with. Seriously, it was last April I think? Less than a thousand players online. It took me twenty minutes to find a game, and when I did, it was three of us against eight enemies. I never even saw my opponents. Everyone ran right to the spot that had the biggest advantage and I never even got a look at them (though I had a vague idea of where they were). The vehicles were cool, but useless. The maps looked awesome, but I didnt have them memorized. Waiting 20-30 minutes between games was what killed it for me.

You can have the most awesome game in the world, but that is no good for MP if only a handful of people are playing it. Its why Halo 3, in spite of all the problems I have with the players on there, the games, the maps, etc... is still a go-to for MP. Someone will ALWAYS be on there playing it. Even MW2, not being the most current CoD, has a very big online community at almost all hours.

I will try BF3 when I can borrow or rent it.. I hope the gameplay can match up with how good it looks. But, no doubt, I am buying MW3 the day it comes out. Excellent story/campaign that I am interested in, familiar controls, and a HUGE community to play with. The downside to a big community is dealing with the problems above, but playing specific game types (hardcore) tends to lessen it a bit. Or, play with friends. DeusVultSPQR if your on live.. drop me a line, happy to show you the lighter side of MW2. We can make some little kids cry. :)

Subscription? Not sure what your talking about there. BC2 seemed to have something like that, I had to sign up to play online on the xbox..

:? Two completely different things my friend. You might as well say every MP game requires a "subscription" because of you monthly fee to you Internet service provider.

I just have this to say about MW MP, it is nothing, not even CLOSE to a true tactical military shooter. It's just the same old game modes that's been around since the days of DOOM. There is absolutely nothing about it that encourages team work or anything strategic other than "pwning n00bs" whilst bunny hoping with your dual wield golden AKs. There is no objective other than KILLING for points and perks. The MP aspect of MW is an insult to the far superior SP campaign experience. It's nothing more than HALO or UNREAL tournament with modern day guns. But if that's your kind of thing then I hope you have fun.

Clarify? Other than the xbox live (and internet) subscription, I never had to do anything else for MW MP. For BC2 I had to do some sort of subscription with the company that made the game, even getting e-mail from time to time from them about it. What are you referring to?

I am getting the impression that you either never played MW2 much, or you didnt play long enough to get an idea of how things worked. BC2 played about the same as MW2 in the games I was in. When I used to look over my roommates shoulder as he played on the PC, I saw nothing that would change that impression. It can either be an organized game with folks who want to work together, or its a bunch of kids who want to pwn noobs.

In the end, we all play the things we enjoy. I didnt see BC2 as being all that different from MW2, except there was no one playing it. The same rush to good positions, the same mix of weapons, the same camping and such that annoys me with any game. I would suggest, since you seemed to miss it with MW2 (based on your reply), that if you get on MW3 MP you try something OTHER than Team Death Match. Domination, Headquarters, and most Hardcore modes make for a much better playing experience.
