Well I have a few items on the way from Dave at Britannia...
The Donkey Cart, an Afghan Shepard and Goats plus his new Civilian Contractors!
I have the pre-tests on the way to paint up and they should be in full production around May. As soon as I get them, you can bet thay will be getting painted so pics soon!
Also have the new releases for the 'Cold War' BAOR coming too so pics of them to follow!

That's great news on the Afghan bits. Though, I must admit I'm a bit partial.

Actually got the stuff today!
The A'stan bits are brilliant, absolutely stunning... Some of Dave's best work.
The goat herd also has a woman carrying a water gourd on her head!
The cart is excellent... May have to get another one to convert to a rocket cart!
The Civilian Contractors are ace aswell... and armed to the teeth!
Also got aload of Vietnam stuff... US Mine Clearance teams, Special Forces, dismounted tank crews and a load of VC!
Im gonna be busy this week!!!

I picked up a pair of PT76s and a Sheridan from Dave. They should be on their way this week!

Oh, cool. Haven't seen any pictures of it yet. Does the front vehicle still have the wrong shape? Does it come with BAR armour?

I have the Viking. Very nicely done model IMO.
I sanded out a bit where the front and rear section are joined by a bar, (Drive shaft, or differential???), so that it looked more to the thickness I have seen in pictures. Even with that said I am glad it was cast as it was to ensure that they arrived connected.
The figures that come with the model are crisp and well done. You also have the option of buttoning up and not using the figures, but IMO that would be a waste.
It is looking at a late summer ETA to being painted. If you still want I will post picks as I go then.
Edited to add, no bar armor on this model. If I am not mistaken someone out there is making add on kits for Strikers and other vehicles that would use it.

Ok, the connection sounds good, but I'm still curious about the shape. I would welcome some pictures very much.

Hmm, I was afraid of that. The errors in the basic shape have not been corrected. For example, the rear of the front vehicle and the front of the rear should be way more sloped, so that the topsides do not collide into each other when the vehicle is travelling through a gully. And for instance the headlight panel should also be sloped, not vertical. Several details are missing, like the smoke launchers on the front.
I know I'm a spoiled little rivet counter, but still, I hope SandS will do a more accurate version of this vehicle. (I want to do Dutch marines in the future! ).
It looks more like the armoured version of the BV 206 (BV206s), but would still be incorrect. I didn't know the French were using that vehicle in Afghanistan:

Talk about a crazy mix of camo. Those guys are wearing winter camo suits, standard French helmet camo, desert camo flak vests, regular olive drab and digital style webbing and pouches.
