Fathers' Day money going to GHQ and CinC - HEMMT will be along in about a week, a little longer to get one to your door.
Went ahead on another whim (seems I'm having a lot of those lately) and ordered a pack of CinC M-60A2s. Always loved the look of those things and thought I'd swap out a few for A1s in CWGH or something along that line. Try to see how they would have done. I need to see what the turret armor is. Not much turret front surface, thinking of giving it one extra Defense Die from the front over the A1 but will tinker some more. Dig out my old Tractics books to compare armor details. Oh, and I ordered the HMMVs with TOWs. I'll paint up 2 of each model for Europe and 4 of each for the desert. Have all the bases covered this way.

Great, then I'll probably go the other way, 4 NATO 3-color, 2 desert for possible use later on. Or I'll just paint up 4 until I need more later.
Between bits of work on FoW stuff for a friend, I am about halfway through painting a Marine platoon right now. Sort of generic as far as timeframe. Sand with brown camo uniforms but green Woodlands camo vests. Havent started the vests yet, about halfway done with the camo for the moment. I've already painted the AAVTP-7s sand color thinking later period, but can always spray them again with green if that would work for at least 50% of the time in Iraq.

Going through my new GHQ models last night, I came upon the odd bits for the M1114 HUMMWVs. Looks like a bell on a post. Lookng at the GHQ online catalog, I see it on the vehicle, but dont know if it is on all or just certain vehicles, like command vehicles or something. Any idea what that is? Looks like it goes on the back bumper, passenger side. Otherwise, everything looks easy enough to sort out. The Russian towed quad AA Mgs even have instructions for them. Awaiting my next order from GHQ and CinC to wrap up a few projects.

GHQ order arrived rather quickly! HEMMT now staning by for packing with trucks and other stuff. Still waiting on the CinC order so I can have the full Marine platoon ready to paint, but I only lack the HUMMWVs with the TOWs. The GHQ order brought a couple of Super Cobras for Marine air support.

I believe that Warlock has been largely replaced in the US Army by Duke and Rhino. I believe it lasted longer with the USMC, so in terms of 100% accuracy it will depend on what sort of force you're looking to make and when.

I'm still sorting out an "era" to work up. More trying to do an average, more generic bunch of models I can use over the whole period from 2003. I may do 2 of the 5 with this antennae then. First, I want to be able to field things for current and upcoming scenarios. As things change so frequently, far more so than I have kept up with, I'm not sure I can model different periods within the overall era effectively. I consider that I used to be the guy in the unit who could ace any threat recognition test, and I find so much now I'm not familiar with. Tom

The antenna you have would be good from about Mid 2004 to early 2008 when the duke transition was compleat the new duke ant can be used with pole duke ant currently ...there are also boomerang ant for counter small arms and sniper location....Below a style of boomerang at the far rear side showing

Went ahead with 2 HUMMWVs with that ant as part of the HQ section for my Stryker company. It fits the initial entry period for the Stykers. I painted them the same Rustoleum Camo OD Green that I used for the Stykers, too. Dont know if that makes a difference or not, but seems to make sense for logistics to use the same paint.
Mikey, if your ever in the Dayton, OH area, I owe you one of my home-brews. Your assistance in getting these details sorted out has been great. Thanks to everyone else for their answers, too.

No prob TOM I will get your ICVs out sometime this week ...They have begun to paint some of the strykers in desert tan only recently . they still come off the factory in army green and even those that are going thru reset are being repainted green. Like you I only had nine ICVs But i only do platoon lists so had extra . I will use a cav platoon if my grunts need reinforcement..I'm am also going to build a Combat outpost the tenants will include my infantry the Cav and some Company assets , also a ANA or ISF for IRAQ in Pickem up trucks with extra room for transient units like a RCP or PRT
