I recently bought some 28 mm plastic UAMC Marines from Defiance Games. They are quite nice, except there are only 3 different poses for the legs and that I'm not too found of their "roman style" helmets (but this is just a matter of taste). I will use them to portrait 24th Century light infantry (1D armor). I decided to keep them "generic" so they could be used for any army, regular troops or well equiped militia, or even to portrait some mercenaries (that's what I had in mind when I painted the herebelow figure):

The shoulder pads come from Starship Troopers figures, ammo pouches from GW's Space Marines and the head is from Wargames Factory's...saxons ;)

Comments, feedbacks welcome.

Thats a spitting image of Chuck Norris.

Very nice conversion. Can't wait to see an entire unit.

Chuck Norris doesn't make TQ Checks - TQ Checks make Chuck Norris checks! :D

I think the figure looks great - excellent kit bashing, my friend! Excellent!

Cool work on both: The Marines and Chuck Norris!

But somehow, I miss Mr. T in this ...

Here is a small update, with some picts of troopers in hard (2D) armors. They are Pig Iron's heavy infantry. They are still wip at the moment - as you might have noticed the basing is not completed yet ;).

Very nice---the whole lot are great!

It's awesome how a few headswaps and bits from other kits can really change the whole appearance of a model. The pig armor war droids with human heads are particularly effective, as is the Kolonist sniper. Well done!
