hi all
maybe this should have gone into the terrain section :)
as some of you know, in the escape club we tend to go over the top and do almost every big game in 20mm scales and we like our buidling and terrain full size so when i managed to obtain this 1/72 scale a300 airbus an ex travel agent display model i though wow what a terrain piece.
it was not perfect had some impact damage to it and only had one engine.

so last weekend i decided i needed to get a bit more work done and after the use of some filler got the 2 holes filled,
i also managed to get the remaining engine off without too much damage to the wings or engine and decided to mould it.
the castings came out ok so i fitted the 2 new engines to the wings with thick super glue and faired in the join with more filler.

not to hard a job.
so it now looks like this:-

and with a 1/72 olifant 1a for size comparrison,

i was going to rub it all down repaint and redecal, but now i am not too sure, it means a lot of work and time and will not be usable for ages, i can live with the odd marks and scuffs ect.
all i have to do now is to reapint the nose and make some undercarriage and fit it to the underside, there is a display rod hole in the bottom so i may use that.
so i now have a mould for an a300 engine so if anyone wants any a300 engine pods please let me know
now where's the entebe airport floor plan ;)
thanks for looking
shaun
