Great paint jobs . Just one thing: the CIRAS vest of the second designated marksman should be in coyotte brown not "Centre Europe" (forest) camo. The 3rd guy seems to wear the old S3 "frag" flackvest so it's OK to have it painted in Centre Europe camo. A general tip for painting French troops' flackvests : MOLLE webbing = paint them in coyotte brown, No MOLLE webbing = paint them in Centre Europe camo. I hope it helps .

Very nice looking figures - the poses are great and the brush work follows suit. Thanks for posting & looking forward to seeing some more!

Really cool, the Centre Europe camo is very well done, and I love the way you paint faces. Congrats again for this great paint job.

Now to figure out what to do for an OPFOR...? Congrat for these nicely done paintjobs, I really like your clean & crisp paint style. Eureka has a very nice range of very expressive and well sculped Talibans if I may suggest an OPFOR. Out of curiosity may I ask why the whole platoon is formed of black people ? (don't take it the wrong way, it's not criticism, just curiosity) While there are Legionnaires from many different origins (including black people of course ) most of them come from Western Europe (mainly from Germany or Italy). The days of the French Black colonial troops are long gone.

wonderful paint jobs ... a recent programme on the legion on the history channel said the bulk of new recruits were from South America , Columbia in particular .

Yes, but that's a relatively new trend, although that might change in the future the bulk of the Legion is still made of Western Europe citizens (including a good number of Spaniards), as well as from Eastern Europe and former Soviet Union countries.

The days of the French Black colonial troops are long gone. They aren't all black. There's about five that are. The rest are caucasian. Maybe it's the lighting...? Or my camera...? I do also use a flesh tone that is a bit more like tanned skin that your standard "flesh tone". This is because people who work outside a lot (and this would certainly include soldiers on deployment) tend to get a bit of a tan. It isn't as obvious in photos where they're standing next to their comrades who are in the same conditions, but standing next to you regular office worker that barely sees the light of day the difference is very apparent.

Thanks for your reply, and sorry for the somewhat stupid question (I realise now), I guess it is lighting indeed.
