Hello at all...

Here are the first steps of my way for my new German Army. For playing a modern warfare tabletop I want to set up German Airborne, but I can't find the modern German Army figures from CAESAR, so I started with one of the support elements of my army:

Image

In fact it's not one of the best kits in the word, but I had it for years in a box. So why don't start to build it? While getting the parts together, I saw mistakes at the kit and so I fixed them with plastic sheet and profiles.

But now the first pictures of the "raw" form of the tank...

While building the tank my eyes got on a box with German CRF figures and so one of the guys out of the box transfered from a MP to a tank commander.
In the next steps I will do the rear boxes of the turret with plastic profiles and thin net for a camouflage net.

Sorry for the bad quality of the pictures, but I hope you like the first impressions of my tank anyway.

So far...

Kauf dir die 1/72 German Tank Crew (modern) von MIG Productions. Hab ich auch, hier sind die hier, in meinen Wiesel Panzern:

I suggest getting MIG Productions German Tank Crews (modern). S&S also do German tank crews, that would fit.

I have a lot of "old" soldier kits, so I try to use them as good as I can. When the tank is finished I'll do the commander and if it doesn't fit with the tank I am thinking about to get the MIG's or S&S.

So far...

Okay guys ... here we go again!

The last days and weeks I did some steps at my tank. I better let the pictures talk ...

New boxes at the back of the turret. As you can see on the last picture the original of the kit are horrible, so I did it my way with thin profiles and a little net.

And finally I did the tow line in 0,4mm drilled wire, the plastic one from REVELL were horrible, too.

The last steps I did. White primer on the whole tank. I hope the next days I get time to color the kit.

So far...

Okay, here we go again after a long time. Between lot of work and preperations I got a few minutes for my tank.

I did some paint and a little bit camo. In the moment I am a little bit unhappy with the paint, so I will do it a second or third time. The net looks a little bit to much, but I think when the glue is dry and I shake the tank so it will be not so much.

But now two pictures ...

I really like the look of that foliage camo. What material is that you used?

Yes....you are right, it's the oregano from the picture. But the next days I want to look for tea that I can use for the camo.

Hey guys...

Yesterday my ordered rules of FoF arrived and so my motivation is very high to get my army for the first TIC.
Today I refreshed the green paint and tried to set the first highlights on the tank. But now the pictures of the results with the unpainted commander and the first brown on the camo net...

Today a little update of my tank. I did a light washing and finished the camo net. The next days I'll do some dust with my new airbrush and tomorrow I will finish the base.

While the base of the LEOPARD is drying and my new airbrush didn't arrived, I can't further steps at the tank. So I started with my DINGO. Here are the first pictures:

I didn't fixed the weapons station and add some pices of plastic sheet, so I can turn the weapons station.

And a second update for this day. Because the weather is bad and I have a little bit time today, I sponsored the DINGO a soft eye at the front bumper, a packed barbwire and canvas sight at the back top of the DINGO.

Image

Then my DINGO was finished until yet and so I started the first of three FUCHS. The kits I got are FUCHS A4 but I want FUCHS A8 and so I have do to much things by myself like the crow node for the front MG gunner, the boxes at the sides of the tank an replace the water drive with boxes, too. For the beginning I cut a porthole out of the roof and open it. Here are the first pictures...

C&C are welcome.
