The US Army has updated the Duffers Drift and applied new,(relearned), lessons to them. The format is heres what you know, these are the options: A (turn to page 30) B (turn to Page 35), ect, ect, ect. I had it DL to my hard drive before the old one failed.

Worth reposting if anyone has the link.

OI highly recomend ...

The Defense Of Jisr Al Dorea by Michael L. Burgoyne and Albert J. Marckwardt
University of Chicago Press 2009 ISBN-13: 978-0226-08093-2
or
ISBN-10: 0-226-08093-2

It also contains the Boer war classic The Defense of Duffers Drift by E.D. Swinton........Mikey

Now on my list for post-vacation buying. Swinton is well worth imitating. Has anyone nicked the fight for an SF novel yet?

After seeing this week's episode, I will retract some of my earlier criticism. It was a pretty good story arc. However as it's been pointed out, the lack of any tactics at all is becoming more apparent and increasingly more annoying. The characters seem to find themselves in situations even a decent airsofter could see coming. I realize their more miltia than national guard but can the "historian" at least act like he paid attention to the importance of tactical awareness. I won't go into the other part of the story which was really good. (don't want to spoil it for those who had to DVR it)

Leary: What?
