Hello,
I put up a picture heavy review/tutorial of a Metcalfe cardboard building, the terraced houses, up on my blog. If anyone is interested in seeing what a typical Metcalfe kit is like and how they are assembled, here you go.
I have been working on another three terraced houses kits this weekend and they are almost complete. After they are completed, I will start laying out my terrain boards to mark out the locations for the roads to be glued down. This will all be towards a urban city board for a typical English city. As the overall project progresses, I will be adding updates.

Dad's army the T.V. Show? If so, love it.

Great table, fantastic buildings etc. Got a load of Metcalfe and also Superquick cardboard models myself. The picture actually doesn't even get near doing them any justice.

Which is something like 20mm/1:72/1:76 (and please nobody start one of those tedious and boring scale discussions ...) To give you an idea, below are some pics of some WW2 games I set up a while ago using Metcalfe and Superquick buildings, except for the town hall with the French flag (they state their kits as OO/HO, but they are clearly not the typical German HO/1:87 scale) cardboard buildings (all seen figs and vehicles are 1:72/20mm for comparison). For more info and pics go to: Metcalfe models/kits (take some time to also look up their gallery. Quite some amazing stuff there!): http://www.metcalfemodels.com/index.cfmSuperquick models/kits: http://www.superquick.co.uk/Cheers

As Jimo said, the buildings can be used for 20mm, because my Dad;s Army figures from FAA (20mm) fit very well. These buildings were also the reason to start with the terrain, because there are not many usefull British buidlings. I wanted the figures because i'm a big fan of Dad's Army. But when i saw the buildings, a week later i started te project. Main street main street with shops (Fraizer, Hodges and jones) on the left, on the right martins bank. So as you can see.....i'm happy with the buildings
