Before i get to the problem I would like to make a suggestion for the forum. How about a new section for technical matters? It did take me a little bit to find where the problem topics where.  Any who... I have noticed that the View New Posts button does not always bring up new posts even though the new posts icons do show on the main page. It has been random and usually when only 2- 5 new posts are available. I've noticed the same problem... Firefox 4.1 here too.

Huh. I haven't noticed any problems over here and I've been checking all weekend. We cam only check on Chrome and IE in AAG headquarters though.
The view new posts button is only going to bring up new posts since you were last on the forum. So, if you left posts unread on your previous visit they'll show up as new in the sidebar, but not new under the new posts button.

That could be it Peggy. But i usually log out every time I'm done with the new posts. that way I see any new posts when I log back in.
It's not all that bad but something I noticed.

On a related matter, I'm new to the board and thus the entire board is "new posts" for me. While I'm sure it is all interesting I don't really want to read every topic that has ever been posted. But until I do that the "view new posts" button is a bit useless to me. I have been looking but can't find a button to mark all posts read or at least mark all posts in a forum read.
Update: it does appear that the forum does mark old posts as read under some conditions but I haven't discovered how it works yet.

Go to the front page of the forums and scroll down to the bottom. On the left hand side under where it says total number of posts is the mark as read button. That will mark everything as read.
