We have been running a campaign called Operation: Steel Wind. You can find some of the AARs here:

I don't know what the etiquette is around here on resurrecting old threads, but I'm a newb so you have to cut me some slack!

Just wanted to say that I am also interested in African wars and I think that is what I am going to be starting out with, mostly set in a fictional African country I developed for AK 47 Republic but never got started with. I have the beginnings of a Mercenary troop based off of what I have read from Mike Hoare, the Wild Geese, and Rolf Steiner's book. I also have a bunch of random African militiamen from Peter Pig that are going to be getting re-based and put into action!

Made up my own fictional African country...for TO&Es, I basically made my own up. I've got civilian rebels, a drug lord and his private army, a government army, a government special forces unit, and some white mercs. Can pretty much make up any sort of scenario and play it out if you want to. For vehicles, I've got everything, Chaffees, T-55s, T-62s, trucks, technicals, M-48s, a bunch of armored cars, and more. I can use a lot of this stuff for other wars too, as my rebels and drug lord's army will work for Somalian militia, and the government troops will work for quite a few African armies. For terrain I've got just generic stuff, shanties, modern buildings with a hint of Arabic influence, and some oil refinery pieces. I still plan on doing a coastal ocean board and having boats getting attacked by African pirates and whatnot.

That's pretty much what I did. Have you seen the Bongolesia blog? That's where I got a lot of my inspiration from. So far we have the Northern and Southern Forces, Communist Rebels, White Mercenaries (you kind of have to have them!), and I am planning on building some Pygmie Rebels as well.
