Let's say I make an Afghan compound in 20mm scale measuring 12" x 15". Would that be treated as a single building under the rules or a collection of buildings with a perimeter wall?

Personally I always play it like a small building with a perimeter wall. Anything else would be silly, because many of the yards in my compounds are more than a tactical move wide.
