Just wanted to check on you two. Watched all the tornadoes in your area on your area on the national news.

I saw where Shawn was on line this evening. So I'm hoping as you that all is well with them.

We're good. Thankfully we just got the edge of the storms and got a wee bit of rain and some high winds. It was worse yesterday, but both days we were lucky and missed it all. Thanks for checking on us!

Having lived in Mustang, OK around 2002-03, I can attest to the brutality of some of those storms that come through in the spring. We were always lucky when ever storms brewed up. I can remember one particular storm though was pretty scary. Our son was home alone with the dog and cats when one came up. Both my wife and I were at work, he called me asked what to do if a tornado came by. I told him to stay calm and get the dag and cats into the bathtub with him and cover themselves with a few thick blankets (it wasn't big enough to haul a big mattress in there with him). He said that was easier said than done, you try to get the dog and cats together in the bathtub.
Well, now that tangent is over, I'm glad you guys are safe. Be careful and take care.

It is all a little scary- I've got a wife and two little ones at home. I live just at an hour north of Joplin on the KS side. These storms just come up on you at a high rate of speed.
Just crazy.
My condolences go out to anyone unfortunate enough to be in that situation.

Mother nature is not to be trifled with. I've sailed through a NASTY Monsoon off the coast of Vietnam, rode out a hurricane in a pickup truck staked down below an overpass in Delaware in 1976, and 3 years ago had the tail of a weird hurricane-spinoff storm take off the chimney of my house. Oh yeah, and a mini tornado in Dayton ripped the roof off of a large commercial shed 200 feet from where I was sitting with my wife at a movie theater. They stopped the movie and said, "everyone please come to the hallway." So we are there like idiots and the lights went off, so someone says, "What's the deal?" "Ah..to be honest a tornado just destroyed a building across the street."
Wow. I think I'm lucky.
I think it's something like a Hurricane has the energy of a nuclear bomb every few minutes or something.
I'm a believer.

Slightly off topic, ok, more than slightly, but I can do that! Shawn and I are out of the office until this evening. I'm stealing him away from the computer since I've seen nothing but the back of his head in front of his monitors for about the last 10 days. Behave!
