I run the web site for the Manx Wargames Group. We meet alternate Saturdays in Port Erin, Isle of Man. Any visiting gamers are always welcome. Most periods are covered. I've run a number of AA games as well as AK47 Republic and am looking forward to subjecting the members to Force on Force games shortly.

Welcome aboard. I'm only about 60 miles from you, about 50 of those swimming

I've never been to your part of the world despite having a ferry that goes there right on my door step. How many players do you get on a regular basis and do they travel from across the whole island ?

Jim

welcome
I have always been envious of British clubs they seem to have their act together most of the time , and seem to last forever while american clubs seem fickle to me .....Mikey

How strange, I always see it the other way around in my opinion. Clubs in the US look so well run and have shed loads of gear to play with, whilst all the clubs here in England are a bit rag-tag hit and miss jobs. Perhaps I go to all the wrong ones?

Amazing, I came looking for a London club and find one on the Isle of Man of all places. Shame I rarely get back any more.

Most of the early Wargaming mags where from the UK and they always inspired me .
UK clubs often have permanent places to meet on a weekly basis (That is not a Local hobby shop) they often store their own minnies and terrain in this venue.
UK clubs will often attend many gaming conventions for pleasure and to run games.
UK clubs will participate in group builds or theam periods.
Most UK club members actualy like eacth other rather then get along just to have folks to play with .
This to me is the difference between most european clubs vs US now there are exceptions The Mid america wargamers look to be an out standing club here in the US. Mine and only My opinion....Mikey
