Was browsing through Road to Baghdad looking for a fun scenario to play. Scenario 19: debecka crossroads caught my eye as a fun one, but as I read through it I got super confused. I can't seem to find which units have javelin missle...I know they are there , the discription mentions it, the actual historical out come mentions it, there is even special rules that govern this eluding missles but alas I can't not find them. Do any of you know where this guys have gone too? Hopefully, even though i read the secnario about 4 times the, thes buggers are not setting in front of my face...

That seems reasonable. Thanks Mikey! I am considering adding the Rule from the fof main book scenario( can't remember it's name) I think it's isreal tanks vs Russia tanks. Anyway the Rule limits fire for the t-55 tanks making it so it can't fire on things two height levels above it, but allowing the tanks to use the brim to fire up hill. Thoughts?( if i didn't confuse you)

I meant it to be one launcher for each ODA. Either team (but not both) in each ODA may attempt to use it, once per turn. So, Mikey's right - 3 is the number.

Go ahead and try the T55 elevation rule - although in the actual fight, the T55s were able to put fire on the ridge.

And, please post yoru AAR - I'm dying to read now it goes!

If i was running the T55s id run them up a berm to give them more elavation on the tube, Use that ZSU to supress the Javelin as they reveal themselves or smoke them ..use the armour to fix the ODA and try to flank with the Infantry...Your gonna Die but you can sure put a hurtin on a less experienced coalition player till the fast movers get ya ....mikey

Sweet, it will be really cool to play with some people with experience. I am moving down to the Houston area, Montgomery to be exact. I believe it's about 2 hours away from FT Hood. I'll be down there in about 2 weeks.

Hey guys,

I have a little questition for this scenario too. Are there some additional guys in the humvees how drive and fire the weapons of the vehicles or have to use the coalition player some of the dismount figures to control the humvees?

Thanks for the help.

Cheers
Arkon

The GMV carried 5 people , If you adopt a support by fire position you only need to man the HMG or primary weapon. Normaly you keep the driver and gunner in the vehicle and dismount 3.
Your primary goal is to get the cross roads covered by Tac air and or arty , so your going to get that soflam lazer marker system up to paint them for fast movers and send the digitised target info for the arty.
you then fix them in place with your javelin's.....if your the Iraqi's you can afford to duke it out so you need to kill those folks at the top of the hill you need to try and blind those missiles and lazer markers and quickly find a way to flank these folks and make them run or die and you dont have a lot of time.
Your tank guns are gonna make them duck and that ZSU 23/4 can really mess up a team if you can get eyes on .....Mikey

Hi Mikey,

thanks for your help. So I'm right in my assumption that the GMVs are not manned in game terms.

In the force description for the special force are mentioned that there are a total of 5 ODA members (3x Rifle / 2x M203) per GMV. This means that the whole team has dismount from the vehicle. So I should like to make use of any vehicle weapons during the game that I have to send an infantry model to the vehicle to use these weapons.

Cheers
Arkon

or just dismount 3 guys 2 per javelin and one for local security , this gives you the option of manning a heavy weapon or moving the GMV if you need to....Mikey
