The PDF for Cold War Gone Hot is up in our store! You can buy it here: http://ambushalleygames.com/products/st ... _pathway-0We'll have hard copies available soon, or you can buy them directly from Osprey (remember, Osprey recognizes your SOG discount, too).

Love those hogs on CAS.
I can't wait to pick the book up at my FLGS.
This is the scenario/source book I have been waiting for. The others have been really great, but growing up during the end of the Cold War has always intrigued my imagination as to what would have happened if Commie Joe and come screaming through the Fulda Gap.
Now we can play it out.
Thanks for continuing to bring out high quality books, keep up the good work.

Hi guys, don´t wanna open a new topic, my question fits well into this... ;-)
Well, I´m wonderimg about the pricing politics... The PDF is $20, right? On Amazon, I can get the full coloured book für 17.95 Euro. US$ shouldn´t be that far away.
Shouldn´t a PDF be remarkable cheaper? If I would buy the PDF (and do not print it out ), it will take me more bucks than buying the book...??? Plus adding some bucks for printing... Did I miss anything or are you serious in selling the PDF for more money than the book?
Please don´t get me wrong, don´t wanna offend you guys, but I´m serious in not understanding that pricing.
Kind regards,
Ragnar65

The one thing to keep in mind about all pricing is Amazon will ALWAYS be lower. They buy in bulk, they don't have as high overhead, and they can afford to cut prices because the VOLUME of sales will make up for it. Our prices were set by Osprey based on their experience in pricing game books. As partners we're obligated to meet the prices they set. People are always free to buy what they want where they want.

Hi Peggy, sounds like a very political correct answer... ;-) If I understand it correct, the prices for the PDFs are "dictated" by Osprey? Hmmm, selling the PDFs means selling "only" data, nothing you can grab or sell in bulk... If I sell 1 PDF or 1000 - the costs will be the same.
Anyway, I understand that 20 bucks for the PDF is set. That makes my decision much easier to buy via Amazon (or any other bookshop).

Just to be clear: Our price on this PDF would have been $15 or $20 whether Osprey was involved or not. Without Osprey, our price for the print book would have been significantly higher, because as an indie company we couldn't afford to print in the mass volume that Osprey does. Pre-Osprey, I would have been forced to charge somewhere in the region of $40 for a book like Cold War Gone Hot. To my mind, it's not so much that our PDFs are expensive as much as it is that our printed books are cheap. On the subject of PDFs - I've been criticized before for my PDF pricing logic and I'm sure I'll be criticized again, but I believe that the value of our work and creativity is not measured by how much was spent on the paper to deliver them to our customers. We sell ideas and concepts, not wheel barrows or buggy whips. I'm fully aware that not everyone shares my opinion on the subject, and with those who don't I reserve my right to respectfully disagree and acknowledge their right to reciprocate. I'm happy that you've chosen to support us through purchasing and playing our games. I'm sorry that you disagree with our PDF pricing. I'm happy that you have another option available and I hope you thoroughly enjoy the Cold War Gone Hot!

Yeah! Give'em hell boys. Is that the Big Game Cyrus couldn't make? I bought his M1A1s and M113s for that project.

A friend's who's considering buying it has asked me how many scenarios there are in the supplement.
Could I get a very rough figure, please?

There are 20 scenarios - although technically there are 21 (one scenario has a large and small version).

That will keep me busy. CWGH should be in my mailbox already, or tomorrow by the latest. I got an email from Amazon saying, they posted it yesterday.

I don´t wanna disrespect all of your work that made this game become reality or criticize your pricing. I was just wondering that those high quality printed books are cheaper than the PDF. Seems a bit unlogically to me ;-). There´s no question that the stuff is worth it´s price...
