Hi, Here is my first trial to paint a stryker from Imprint model. Superbe model but fragile!!!! just finished the "Weathering" and now thinking about fixing a home-made slat armor. I use a 50/50 mix of valejo intermediate green 70891 and usa olive drab 70889 cheers, Nobunaga

That is a slat armour kit one of the first ment to lessen the abillity of RPG rounds to take out the vehicle. The" Castle " is just a modified Gunners protection kit with 3 ballistic shields added to the left and right edges of the top deck for additional protection to those using the back deck hatches . The anti sniper element is a steel frame that you can hang a tarp or cammo netting over it makes it harder for snipers to target crew members but also provides shade from the sun.

It's interesting how we wargamers "have to" a lot of things! I think that you could do something nice from thin evergreen plasticard strips and army painters poison ivy drybrushed with some sand color.

Well the plastic card would never be able to mimic the look , fortunately GHQ has a slat armour kit but the GPK and aniti sniper netting (canvas is also used ) can be done wire and tissue paper. The gunners protective kit if i bother would have to be done in paper card and would take along time tho if you used the kit from the tusk and just added a shield it might work with some surgery...

Nobunaga - yes to your first picture. And yes to whoa mohammad as well. Though the sniper netting for ours used fiberglass poles. The metal stuff kept cause the netting to catch fire when we drove under power lines. And someone on here found a way of doing slat armor that might work for you.

Imprint models look great! Was there an option for the top-mounted machinegun included?
