Once a zombie "Breaks into a building" after detecting the people inside and basically beaten down the doors/windows, does it automatically go to Hand to hand or can the humans flee or fire?

Once they get in is that considered a round of HTH or do you have to wait a turn?

ANy help would be apprecialted.

Moe.

If the zombies have made it into the building then there should be a reaction test between them and the living units. If the living unit wins they can use any of their available options (flee, fire, throw sparkly ponies).

Resolve the close combat as it occurs.

First of all, sorry for my poor english (I´m from spain).

Not to open another topic.

I think that there is a errata in the Ambush Z book, concerning the defense of a barricaded building. On page 41, under Defending a Barricaded Building, the fourth paragraph is incomplete, and I can´t understand what it says.

The paragraph says literally: "Total the zombies attempting to break into the building.
This number plus the zombie unit’s" The rest is blank.

What´s piece of text is missing?

Thank you so much for the help!!

Greetings

If you ignore the blank line and just keep reading what appears to be a new paragraph is actually the continuation of the sentence. It makes sense then.

Or at least that is how I have always read it?

Thanks for the quick reply.

I still do not understand it.

The text reads literally:

"Total the zombies attempting to break into the building.
This number plus the zombie unit’s

Assault bonus determines how many attack dice the
unit will throw."

What exactly does it means?

Number of figures + number of units = Assautl Bonus?

Thank you very much.

Hi RichterX,

Welcome to the forum. The assault bonus is a number that is determined by the type of zombie. If you look starting on pg. 10, you'll see the stats for the different types of zombies and what their assault and defense bonuses are. So per the above rule, you add up the number of zombies and add whatever assault bonus their type gives you. So if you have 7 Romeos (from pg. 11) and they are starting troop quality, you would roll 7D8 for their number and one more D8 for their assault bonus for a total of 8D8.

Hope this helps,

William
