Shalom, comrades, So, now I will start my strike force project: Israeli modern forces. From second Lebanon war up to today in 20 mm. Song of the day for starting this project may be this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JH8gtdDA5x0(To be honest I started it last year, but it took my some test figures and I am still not satisfied with it.) So, I just want to start with some Merkava III tanks. I got them in South Korea for just a few bucks (yeah), so I did not expect a lot. Well – yeah … I was partially right. Some of the parts do not fit properly, but nevertheless the models are not bad. As you can see, they are still work in progress, but I wanted to show you how far I have gotten. One of them is a test model where I was trying to integrate grit, which is often put on the Merkavas top side. Some pictures over here: http://data.primeportal.net/tanks/andre ... _of_37.JPGhttp://data.primeportal.net/tanks/andre ... _of_37.JPGhttp://data.primeportal.net/tanks/andre ... _of_37.JPGhttp://data.primeportal.net/tanks/andre ... _of_37.JPGhttp://data.primeportal.net/tanks/andre ... _of_37.JPGhttp://data.primeportal.net/tanks/andre ... _of_37.JPGAnd here come my Merkavas: Regards Ghostleader

That was some dark photos, but I really look forward to see more from you, the Merkava is one cool tank! I think the grit will look quite nice when painted.

Hi,
I know - I am working on it. I'll try to get a better equipment to do some photo shooting. Will see if it works.
All the best

Cool project! I'd like to start this one myself!
Question - What are you going to use for the IDF SAW? that's got me stumped at the moment...
Thanks! Brian

Hi,
Thanks. I am trying hard ;_D
You mean Squad Automatic Weapons? Well ... hm. As there are no SAWs or Anti Tank units available for modern Israeli forces, I thought about converting some US Forces to achieve an effect similar to heavy israeli support units.
But I am not quite sure. I will keep on looking for some IDF units and maybe find SAW gunners or Anti Tank support.

Oh, I see. Missunderstanding.
I meant figures. There are no Machine guns/SAWs available as plastic soldier kits. In real, the Israeli do use SAWs.
Sorry. I expressed myself the wrong way.

No worries!
It would be nice to have some Modern IDF figs with SAWs, I'm in the process of trying to convert some...!
Keep up the good work though!

Okay! So, here is the next one. It is still WIP, so the base and the Figure are not finished. But nevertheless as it is the first Caesar Miniature Figure I am working on, I would like to have some feedback.

model-minature.com has IDF with Minimi/M249's in their IDF pack #1. They are resin kits, and I have some pics up here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=9421Cant wait to see how those vehicles come out.
