Lads,
It seems its Windmill week :-) following Warwick and Gunbird path.
Some time ago I buy some windmills from several sources: REMY vac-u-form, Dapol and a Jouef one, some to be used on those market garden’s and after scenarios, others for the eastern front. For the stash they go.
Recently Warwick (of KGN fame) presents us (on his blog) with a Kursk Windmill, using the Dapol model, and that arise my interest, so I fetch my Dapol kit, and …. re-discover the Jouef one (an expensive model, motorized, that I manage to grab at ½ price from a local modelers shop).
More or less at the same time, Johan/Gunbird post his work on the same subject, so that tease me. Having some days free, I started mine – almost ended it for The Guild fast build competition.
Now after seeing Gunbird’s final work, I can’t stand no more, and finished mine.
Similar to others work, but a more western one, suitable to Western Russia, Byelorussia, and Poland, and could work from the late 17th century till now.

Boris, is a Stonewall/Combat Miniatures refugee figure, painted by Phil King/Londoncooper.
The base is 3mm MDF, windmill supports were made using balsa wood.
The roof is removable just to put that FO or Sniper…..
As a must be, the sails rotate freely

Now I must get more, as a single one is no fun on the table top – still have the vac-u-form on hand, so….
Thanks for looking, comments welcome, as always
