I'm going to be releasing the Cult of Andromeda soon, it's a sci fi cult of robed aliens (some robed humans too, in gas masks) with blasters, and some with power halberds, led by a witch on a grav flyer named Andromeda. She wears power armour and her female guards wear a sort of carapace/bodysuit combo.

The main heavy offensive power of the cult is Andromeda's ability to summon large demons from other dimensions. Things like this:

In other words, something that can pick most tanks up and rip the turret clean off, and also being very hard to kill with substantial psionic ("magical") strength. (You can see one of our 1930s cultists in the image too -- the sci fi cultists are modifications to the 30s cultists, so they have blasters and power halberds rather than mausers and tridents.)

How would a thing like that be statted out in TW? I know when the range is released I'm going to get asked. Thanks.

I think "Hard to Kill" is probably an obvious attribute . . . ;) Definitely intimidating. Possibly Hungry!!

I'd give it "ranged" close combat capability to reflect that it has a long reach - say, perhaps, it can close assault attack anything within 8".

I'd give its close combat attack both AP and AT values.

I can give you some more attributes and large monster rules for it from our upcoming DAGGER AND CLAW companion book for TW later - the day job has me scrambling right now.

Hi Shaun,

I am planning on using large "Bio-creatures" to support my Space demon's, so I am intrigued to here you are releasing a TW supplement that may well cover what I want.

We actually have one for the SD already, and another, the SD Great Queen, is on the way. The GQ is really big, it dwarfs the Colossus. I'm also considering having SD Linebreakers, which would be somewhat similar to Gargantua in Half Life, made as well.

If you mean the Cult of andromeda, they are sci fi versions of my existing 15mm cultists, with new weapons and more head choices.

The heads will be:

Cthulhu types (like in the existing Eldritch Horror range)
Humans in gas masks
Cobra heads (the Naga)
Boar heads (the Vilg)

The existing models have been modified so that they no longer have Mausers, but sci fi blasters instead. The models with tridents now have a power halberd. There's a new pose in the basic troop set, with a light machine gun type weapon. Also there will be a standlone body available singly, with a plasma gun. (It will come without a head but you get lots of spares in the basic packs.)

Andromeda herself stands atop a possessed grav craft shaped a bit like a cobra head. Heavier fire support comes from these craft as well, which can mount a laser cannon that looks like a deck gun and is crewed by a cultist.

Andromeda has a bodyguard of five female humans in light carapace armour. These were sculpted, and are lovely, but when I got them, they were 20mm tall! So I need to send them back to the sculptor for a redo, sad as it puts their release back 2+ months.

Actually spacejacker has posted some threads on his blog about the models, although he's said I'v released them and they haven't been released yet. :)

Here are the threads:

Wow, so one can do a sci-fi version of raid by the feds on Arkham... :D I seriously wouldn't want anything less than PA against that thing!
