Shaun, That's cool. I need to get a Mine roller to put on the maxxpro. My daughter drove one in Iraq and I pan on making hers. I the post with my figures I have the Toyota, Cougars, and LMTV's I got from you and will put up another thread with them. I added the remote turrets i got from Wartime miniatures on rare earth magnets to your Cougars. They worked out well. I am painting a gunner for the Toyota. Any news on the Oshkosh tank transporter? I have 4 M-1's to move now.

I just recently made a visit to Red River Army Depot in TX, where they refit and refurbish wheeled army vehicles, and I saw lots and lots of various 4 and 6 wheeled "combat trucks" parked everywhere (unfortunatly, due to base security rules, I couldnt take an photos ). It got me really interested in adding some to my games. Do you think these kits will require special care on the gaming table, due to all the parts and photoetched brass, or are they fairly robust once assembled? sandsmodels wrote: i may well get around to doing my own at some point. I'm tempted by these $55 kits, so if you came out with something a bit less expensive and of a bit more durable construction, I would be all over them.

Thats the rub of using resin kits. A bit more fragile than plastic ones. I beefed up the axles with brass rod. I left the door handles of the M-ATV but other than that, I think they will be fine. Most of the people we game with are respectful of other people's stuff and I have never had an issue. As with all gaming, stuff happens and it can be fixed. I made the antennas out stretched plastic sprue. Transport is the big damage issue so I made padded boxes to carry them. I like the detail.

as a result of this thread about mraps, a master of the rosomak apc is now being made along with a small range of pilosh infantry. we hope to do the max pro soon as well. pics will follow as and when. so you see what can happen when people ask for things, sometimes things work out for the benefit of all the aa forum members. please note we do have a 15+ suggestion list (both 20mm and 28mm) in pdf. if anyone would like to see a copy please just email me sales@sandsmodels.comthanks shaun
