Haven't been posting here much, so I thought I'd remedy it by showing you my newest project. I was talking to a couple of guys, about the lack of (free) papercraft buildings. Now I know that there are some really good ones out there, but I figured you can never have too many, right?
So here's the first attempt, just a simple middle eastern building. The printing place screwed up the scale a bit, but since it's more of a test anyway, I didn't care too much. I've still got a lot of detailing and work to do, but I wanted to see what it looked like on a table before I continued, so here it is, coupled with a pair of unfinished soldiers;
Oh, and yes, I do need to cut out the windows, missed that on the first attempt

And please ignore the shoddy roof, it looks a bit better now that I waited for the glue to stick.
Details are still a bit off, the roof texture isn't done yet, and I might need to work a bit on getting it to go together more easily. It's also printed on the wrong kind of paper, the printer couldn't print on cardstock (that should have been a clear sign to get out of there).
But I'd love to hear some feedback on it, the whole thing is available
here (btw, a hefty 33mb .tif, 300dpi) and I plan to update that as I go along. [/url]
I have absolutely no previous experience working with papercraft, so any tips you might have would be very welcome. By the way, are there any other kinds of buildings people would like to see?
