Starting to put my brushes to work on the 2nd Marine Division for 2003. Here are a couple of vehicles from this weekend's work.
They are both 15mm QRF vehicles (thanks Geoff!).

I'm not that familiar with US equipment... But I thought all vehicles serving in the middle east had the desert yellow scheme bar the Strykers that were plain green?
Looking good though. Maybe a wash to add some shading?

Marines deployed so quickly that almost all their vehicles were still in Woodland Camouflage. Even the infantry was wearing the same camouflaged MOPP suits (with the exception of helmet covers, which were desert).
There are some good images in Osprey's US Marine 2003 book, as well as Marines in the Garden of Eden, which is a very detailed account of Al Nasiriyah.
Still learning my digital camera...the vehicles are washed and weathered. My lighting tends to glare out the shading Gotta get my macro lighting setup unpacked.

What scale are these vehicles? It is hard to tell from the pic.

Those are 15mm Peter Pig vehicles. I have them in my collection, too!
And Beast is on the money about the paint jobs. There are pictures of USMC (and more than a few US Army) vehicles still in the woodland scheme, sometimes with desert sand colored canvas soft-tops and cargo covers.
More than a few of our troops were in mixtures of desert and woodlenad gear, too. Most of my 15mm marines are painted in desert camo uniforms with woodland pattern body armor and the occasional green "jungle boots," based on photos and discussions with a few Marines who were on the ground in that period.

Oh, and shame on me, it's AN Nasiriyah, not AL. Bother!

ACK! I can't believe I typed Peter Pig! I swear I was thinking QRF! The only PP vehicles I have are technicals and a Mercedes!
Now I'm going to open a package from Geoff and one of those spring-driven boxing gloves is going to punch me in the nose. He's a lawyer now, so he can do that kind of thing and get away with it, too!

nice ... but being picky the amtrac is the early one with the .50 turret , which had been phased out by 2003 .
u need the later version with the big .50/AGL turret .

I did actually build a one-off upgrade for the Army, with the upgunned 0.50/40mm turret and applique armour, but they were in a hurry so it was a one off and never went into mould...

Nod, need a different turret, but the fact that I have an AAVP in 15mm at all makes me all warm and fuzzy inside
