Well I already have my USMC done for the game...
..and my generic scary gribbly types...
So I figured I best get to work on the other three forces Im doing.
The first up is the smallest, and the most fun.
Quote: The Hostile Enviroment Exploration Unit (HEEU) which operate from deep space exploration vessels are a mixed military and scientific crew and is tasked with exploring the further edges of known space in the search for resources and suitable habitats for colonisation. The military personnel all have high scientific backgrounds and are expected to work alongside the scientific personnel as needed. This group represents one prepped for planetfall on a hostile enviroment likely to be unsuitable for human habitation but rich in resources. It consists of four vehicles and 27 personnel all equipped and trained to operate in vacsuits. The first vehicle in the unit is from the Magellan series of exploration vehicles. The tracked chassis comes in a number of variants and can even be modified by the HEEU teams onboard their exploration vessel in response to conditions they encounter. The Magellan series has been widely adopted by HEEU teams due to its reliability and ease of maintenance. This particular vehicle is known as the 'Marconi' pattern and is the main command and control vehicle, housing all the HEEU communication equipment and remote control systems. The vehicle carries a crew of four USMC personnel in light vacsuits, with M98 ACRs, and a four man civilian comms/research team. The second Magellan is configured in the standard carrier variant. This vehicle carries eight personnel in heavy vacsuits for prolonged operations outside the vehicle. Once again it carries four USMC personnel and a four-man science team. The vehicle itself is equipped with a simple comms system for relay to the command module but does have a simple remote guidance system linked to the exploration ship in case of emergency. The final Magellan in use with this HEEU is in the 'Darwin' configuration. This is the primary research and analysis vehicle, and is once again fitted with light comms in order to carry an array of testing and sampling equipment. The vehicle carries a crew of four USMC personnel in light vacsuits and a four man civilian research team. The last vehicle with the team is the only armed vehicle deployed by HEEU's. This is the M977 Dragoon, a medium class grav skimmer recently taken into USMC service. It is fast and light, perfect for scouting and patrolling operations. This version is armed with a 125mm gun and a remote HMG system. It carries a three man USMC crew who generally prefer to wear heavy vacsuits incase of emergency.
Also this evening I started on my DPRG forces...
This is a 'Puma' Model 89 Tank Destroyer purchased by the DPRG from Brazil. Its wheeled layout is well suited to action on the grasslands of western Glory and its 130mm Kinetic Cannon is capable of penetrating the armour on the M7A3 'Hoplite' MBT. Its lack of armour is somewhat compensated for by its high speed, but it lacks any point defence systems making it extremely vulverable to enemy infantry.

A few lovely Pig Iron (though I need more) waiting attention...
Im doing two different conflicts from the 'fluff' we have been working on for the full book. My 15mm stuff will focus on the fighting on Glory and the adventures of an exploration ship, while my 28mm stuff will be covering the actions on Mockba. Cant really say much more than that at the moment...

Oh wowza! These look awesome!!!
I need a new "era" like I need another hole in my head. However, I've already bought the pre-release of TW...so too late!
The HEEU figures are 15mm. Right?
The look perfect!

The vehicles of a DPRG Mechanised Infantry Platoon...
These are a fully wheeled force, ideal for fast movement over the flat grassland plains found on eastern Glory.
This platoon, from the 15th Mech Division, are utilised as a heavy recce force by DPRG local commanders.
The three rifle squads travel in three Model 79 'Jaguar' APCs, each mounting a Villeria 30mm Chain-Gun.
As well as the 'Puma' acting as the A/T Squad, the platoon also has another 'Jaguar', this time a Model 79/D, fitted out for command functions and mounting a single HMG. Also attached to the platoon HQ is the scout section who ride in a military version of the popular 'Palermo' 4 x 4. This one mounting a Franchi 25mm gun in a remote turret.
The final vehicle in the platoon, is a local DPRG conversion built in the military workshop just outside the provincial capital, Nerja. This is a civilian 'Stallion' pick-up truck mounted with a 'Pheonix' multi-role missile system.

Quote: The New Imperial Russian Army (NIRA) regiments that took part in the ferocious defence of Putingrad, took to painting their combat helmets red. With the New Soviet Federation forces wearing virtually the same equipment since the capture of the Kerensky Military Factory, the troops felt that the lack of concealment was more than out-weighed by being able to easily distinguish friend from foe. The red helemts would be a mark of honour for the veterans of Putingrad. A year later those who had served in the siege could be spotted by the badly chipped, red painted helmets they wore with pride.
