I have a good list of paints for multicam, but haven't tried painting one up yet.

Which paints are you going for?

Send me a PM with your email address, mate - there is more to it than just listing paints.

Sgt Scream,

I hope that you'll post the paints and techniques...once you're happy with your process. It's bad enough that you're hogging all of the "Real good beer"! :P

Jim, I WILL post a tutorial on these but the pics I have aren't mine so I cannot post them in public. I will however post some of my own work with the same colours used once I come 'round to actually paint up some miniatures in multicam.

I did some in 15mm. I found that, as I gather is often the case, the best chance of hitting the target is not to aim directly for it, so I just went for something that looks like the general effect. This technique might be a bit too rough-and-ready for 20mm though.

I covered them in a light green colour (Tamiya "Cockpit Green"), then drybrushed fairly heavily in a light sandy colour, then added flecks of nearly-white and dark brown (used the brown partially to cover up where I put on too much white). Looks grand. I've been toying with the idea of loading a toothbrush with the off-white and flicking it at them, but don't seem to have the stones to try it.

I tried the "toothbrush method" (I remember using it in art class in 3rd or 4th grade)....didn't work for me.

However, what has been working for me is using a torn piece of foam (like Jaz recommended?).

What colours did you use? I'm just about to start a few test figures -my first 28mm figures to touch a paint brush in about 10 years...
