[edit] It's finished, photos at bottom of the page] Well, i started work on my special forces GMV /Dumvee (btw, what the name Dumvee stands for? ). Its typical scrap build -built entirely from various unused parts left from my previous models. Fortunately special forces guys apprently like to customize their rides - so far every GMV i have seen on the photos looked pretty unique. Anyway, im using old Revell's body and, wheels from Military Wheels horrible short-run kit, various details from dragon humvees, S&S crew and various stowage... Right now its pretty early WIP - almost no stowage, no details, and no crew. Also its really rear-heavy, ill need to add some weights under the hood.

DMV = Desert Mobility Vehicle GMV = Ground Mobility Vehicle The original DMV was developed for Desert Storm and evolved into the current GMVs, of which there is a variant for US Army Special Forces (GMV-S), US Army Rangers (GMV-R), US Navy SEALs (GMV-N), and the US Marine Corps Special Operations units (GMV-M). DMV (often prounced "Dumvee") is still commonly used to refer to these vehicles.

Hey, that looks impressive already. Is that S&S or Elhiem's crew?

Yup, crew is from S&S. Althrough the gunner is a bit short (i guess he is more 1/76 than 1/72) and has his arms extended, which required some modifications to the gun mount, and a pedestal on the vehicle's floor. And who says short gus can't be special forces soldier? You don't have to be built like Rambo to do your job . Now, painting the vehicle is going to be fun...

yes the gunner is s little short for 1/72, as he was origianl designed for our 1/76 peugeot p4 4x4. but like that, detail excellent use of loads of different bits of kit. very nice
