Ambush Valley Released!

Ambush Alley Games takes players into the steaming jungles and razor-backed mountains of Vietnam in Ambush Valley, the latest companion book for Force on Force!

Clocking in at 176 pages, Ambush Valley is the largest Force on Force companion book yet. It contains all the special rules and vehicle stats necessary to bring warfare in Southeast Asia to life on your gaming table, along with six new scenarios. The meat of the book, however, is the exhaustive encyclopedia of unit organizations for the US, Republic of Vietnam, Australia, Republic of Korea, Kingdom of Thailand, Republic of the Philippines, Democratic Republic of Vietnam, the Hmong, Laos, Thailand, and Cambodia. Much of the organizational information presented in this book has never been published before and some of it has only recently been declassified for public consumption!

As you may have gathered from the force list above, Ambush Valley doesn't restrict itself to Vietnam alone - force d
escriptions are provided to allow players to explore the not-so-secret wars in Laos and Cambodia.

It is our believe that Ambush Valley represents a stand-out publication for wargamers interested in the Vietnam conflict. No other book presents such a depth of information on forces involved in Vietnam. Ambush Valley is not just a companion book for Force on Force, it is a powerful resource for Vietnam gamers using any set of rules!

Independent Reviews of Tomorrow's War

Tomorrow's War is surrounded by positive buzz! Our play testers and design consultants have been spreading the good word about the game for some time now, but obviously they're a little biased! That's why we we're overjoyed to see so many positive reviews coming from independent sources that aren't directly linked to the game (or us) in any way!

I think we can safely call TW a "critically acclaimed" game - read some of the reviews below and I'm sure you'll agree with us:

Jim Roots Joins AAG Board

With the success of Force on Force and its companion books, the buzz surrounding the recent release of Tomorrow’s War, our recent licensing partnership with Elhiem Figures, and other as-yet-to-be announced projects in the works, Ambush Alley Games has clearly entered a thrilling new phase in its evolution from a small PDF provider to widely distributed creator of top quality modern and science fiction miniature wargame rules. As part of this chapter of growth, we are happy to announce that Jim Roots will be joining Ambush Alley Games as a new member of our board of directors.

In addition to game development experience stretching back to involvement as a play-tester with Game Designer’s Workshop, where he was involved with such projects as the highly acclaimed Assault system series of modern wargames, Jim also brings deep business insight to the table. Jim is currently the Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning for the advertising company HY Connect, and has helped grow other businesses during the course of his career. Jim also boasts a Master’s Degree in History and an undergraduate degree in classical philology from the University of Illinois. Best of all, Jim came to our company as a fan of our games and has already been involved in many of our recent projects.

As a board member, Jim will be providing advice on the growth of Ambush Alley Games as a whole and assisting the existing board members with the development of ongoing projects. Jim’s talents in publicity and advertisement will also be put to good use. We believe Jim will prove to be one more ingredient in the Ambush Alley Games recipe for success in the gaming industry!

Tomorrow's War Debut at Fall Recruits

Ambush Alley Games and Osprey Publishing are proud to announce that Fall Recruits will be the site at which their new science fiction rule set, Tomorrow's War will be debuted.

Since its sneak-peek preview last year, Tomorrow's War has been the talk of science fiction gaming. Based on the critically acclaimed Force on Force game engine, Tomorrow's War brings a cachet of gritty realism to the sci-fi gaming table. True to its ancestry, the game focuses on the men behind the guns and rewards sound small unit tactics. The rules address the challenges of a net-centric battlefield, variations in tech level, hostile environments, orbital support, alien races, and a plethora of other aspects of military science fiction while staying true to the quick, unified mechanics pioneered in Force on Force. Like all Ambush Alley Games, Tomorrow's War can be played with figures of any scale.

And what better place to debut Tomorrow's War than an increasingly popular convention focused tightly on the future of gaming?

Recruits is more than just a gaming convention, it's a campaign to make all gaming (and miniature wargaming in particular) accessible and interesting to the next generation of gaming enthusiasts. Lots of people talk about "growing the hobby." The Recruits convention staff put their money and their time where their mouth is!

Sponsored by the local high-school gaming club (a high-school where students can letter in gaming, by the way), Recruits is a rapidly growing convention that is easily accessible from the entire Mid-West. Held twice a year, (Spring Recruits & Fall Recruits), the convention draws a large number of vendors, tourneys, and attendees from across the country. Funds raised by the convention are used to finance trips and purchases for the Lee's Summit HS gaming club.

Please joint us at Fall Recruits in Lee's Summit, MO, September 9-11 to celebrate the debut of Tomorrow's War and support worthwhile cause! Meet the AAG staff, get your books signed, and play in one of many scheduled Tomorrow's War events. Register to win a gigantic prize package to celebrate the game's release!
